Hot Hot and Hotter.

It is pretty quiet here at the Garden Spot. We are winding down the garden. I have a pan full of tomatoes on the kitchen counter waiting to make into salsa, which I will do tomorrow. I have photographed tomatoes until I am quite uninspired and there is little else inspiring in the garden to write about either. Life is pretty mundane, so I default to the grandkids and Sundance.

Just doing the chores.

Even Lily thinks she needs to help.

Horse stalls cleaned. Now time to feed the fish.

We are hoping that the heat wave fades out this week as the weather man promises. It has been in the 90s all week. I have great plans to wash windows on the outside, but it has just been too hot and I can't seem to get up early enough to beat the heat. I even bought a new window washer.

Hope you have more going on in your garden than what we have going on here. Anyone planting spring bulbs yet?

Have a great week. And Thank You for visiting.

  1. Awe, the grandkids are darling. We got a bit of relief from the heat today, tho they say tomorrow is supposed to be back up in the 90's. No bulbs planted yet but I plan to.

  2. Lovely to see the granddaughters helping cleaning up the horse paddock and feeding fishes. Here we also still have fair weather for the time of year, and oh you remind me, my windows need a good wash too, but they have to wait another few weeks.......

  4. Nothing more exciting than having the grandchildren around! Lucky for them to have such a fun place to go at grandma's house and get to help with the horses and enjoy the fish!

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hard to believe some parts of the continent have had extreme heat while we've had tons of rain and cooler temperatures this summer. Stay cool!
It's nice to see everyone helping with the chores.

  6. Dear Ann,

Hope it has cooled down a bit in Colorado! It has in Holland. It's raining non stop for a day now, but the garden could use some extra water!

Your granddaughters look lovely! It must be a joy having them around.

I did bulbs last Saturday, a few varieties of aliums, tulip bulbs and pink and purple Spanish Hyacints. Hopefully, I can plant them soon!

    Happy week,
