Most of the vegetable garden went in yesterday. We still have a couple of pepper plants and potatoes left, along with all of the seeds: lettuce, carrots, red beets, cucumbers, and squash zinnas, and cosmos, and whatever else we decide we must have.
I finally got around to cleaning up the center garden.
Today's Gardening Tip: I saw grasses in a Greeley shopping center taped up ready to be cut back.
Works petty good.

Cleaned the bathroom today and freshened it up with fresh cut lilacs. What a treat.
And that was my day.

ReplyDeleteSo funny that you mentioned the duct tape. I also saw grasses duct taped in Greeley while visiting our daughter one week.
I wondered why and now I see how efficient it is.
Your garden is massive.
The taped grasses are crying out to be made into witches' broomsticks.
ReplyDeleteI have used duct tape, to control floppy bamboos (transparent duct tape looks better); and also to 'fold up' some plants which need protection, prior to Winter.
Gardening with duct tape is something new to me. Love your lilacs in the bathroom.

ReplyDeleteI'm a fan of duct tape as well, many uses and a household must. Never thought of using it on grasses but not a bad idea, yours look very tidy. PS I like you bathroom decor. Kelli

ReplyDeleteNeat trick the duct tape. Would not work for our ornamental grasses here, they grow bigger around than a large trash can. Loved the daffodil, we had our last about a week ago, bought them at half price and planted them during winter.
Ah, momma-these make me home sick. I love the photos. Never used duct tape for my grasses, just my hand. Good idea. Dad is such a hard worker. Glad he went fishing this weekend to take a break. He deserves it. Hoping to plant my veggie garden this weekend.
