Three Cheers: It's Spring!

Officially, it is Spring. Here is a sweet super market bouquet for you along with an Emily Dickinson poem.  While today was warm and wonderful, the weather lady predicts cold and snow for the week end. So much for working out in the yard. I hope you had a delightful day celebrating the changing of the season.

A Light exists in Spring
Not present on the Year
At any other period —
When March is scarcely here

A Color stands abroad
On Solitary Fields
That Science cannot overtake
But Human Nature feels.

It waits upon the Lawn,
It shows the furthest Tree
Upon the furthest Slope you know
It almost speaks to you.

Then as Horizons step
Or Noons report away
Without the Formula of sound
It passes and we stay —

A quality of loss
Affecting our Content
AsTrade had suddenly encroached
Upon a Sacrament.

Emily Dickinson

Have you noticed that white pitchers are in this season. They are turning up all over Pinterest and the decorating and gardening magazines. I found this one at ARC. Cheap. $5.99 and the little candy dish or sugar bowl. I do need to stay out of thrift stores.

Happy Spring.

  1. The bouquet looks so pretty in your new pitcher and I love reading poems of Emily Dickinson, this is another beautiful one which I did not yet know. We had a wonderful beginning os spring with temperatures of 19 degr. C. but this's raining.

  2. We had rain for the first time in ages yesterday. Lovely poem perfect for the beginning of spring and your flowers look great in that white jug.

  3. White always looks so fresh, and that is a very pretty jug that you found. We have a beautifully sunny day far!

  4. She was a talented beautiful poet who still enriches our world.

That's a really cute little pitcher...white you say?

  5. A lovely bouquet of spring flowers. I've seen alot of white pitchers and vases for flowers this season, they look fresh and clean.

  6. Ann it looks lovely and very Spring!! Thrift stores are one of my favorite places as well.. I so need the sounds and sights of spring...The birds are singing and the sun is shinning! I'm sending some heat your way from the south to melt all of that snow!

So glad you came by to say Hey! where have you been? I'm still around I just haven't the time to blog as much as I want... hope that I can do more this year..
